The current Google Ads integration retrieves historical keyword metrics: average monthly searches, monthly search history, close keyword variants, and advertising competition. These figures help assess search interest and compare topics for editorial planning.
The tool requests historical metrics and does not create or modify advertising campaigns. Google Ads authorization grants broader permissions than the tool currently uses.
When enabled, Google keyword metrics are sent to OpenAI Codex to help synthesize research and inform editorial planning. Research outputs are saved as files. The privacy policy explains the Google data involved and how to manage authorization or request deletion.
Google Search Console integration
Google Search Console may be used, with authorization, to retrieve aggregate search-query and page-performance data for authorized websites to inform editorial planning. This data would relate to the connected website, unlike general keyword metrics.
